Waterton Lakes National Park

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Waterton Lakes National Park is full of Mountains, hikes, waterfalls, and just plain amazing scenery. Even better than that?...I grew up with it being only an hour away. Its the highlight of every summer and even the occasional winter trip to walk around and build snowmen.

But the real magic is in the summer. When the sky is blue, trees are full and green, and the water crystal clear. Perfect for skipping rocks or if you are brave you can even take a dip in the glacier water!

No trip to Waterton is not complete with out lunch at Weiners of Waterton. They have scrumptious falafels, hot dogs, fries, sweet potato fries and a million toppings and dipping sauces. I crave this during the winter months when the shops aren't open.

The scenery is beyond beautiful. The food delicious. The hikes amazing.
If you ever find yourself in Alberta, near Waterton, GO! You will not ever regret it.

I'll even come join you for lunch!

Possibly the most beautiful place I've ever seen would be- Jasper, Canada. Nestled among the Canadian Rockies, this little German town is smack-dab between two National Parks. You can't ask for better than that!

The city is filled with quaint little restaurants, a beautiful park in the middle (perfect for picnics or evening strolls), and anything your exploring heart could desire- within minutes of the city center. The city welcomes you with a giant totem pole and the architecture of each building is vintage and detailed- making Jasper feel right out of a storybook.
