Jelly Modern Doughnut

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I figured since I am from Canada, maybe just maybe I should write a post on some of the happy that comes from here! When you think happy words...is one of them doughnut? Me too. So here is one of the must visit places in Canada for a delicious doughnut, or doughnut sandwich, yes I said DOUGHNUT SANDWICH. mmm.

They have amazing, unique and straight up scrumptious flavours such as.... red velvet, carrot cake, s'more, coconut cream, MAPLE BACON, etc,etc...drool.

Oh AND they were featured on the food network show YOU GOTTA EAT HERE.

Yes that is a roast beef sandwich made with doughnut dough...Don't doubt it...just embrace it. Oh and a s'more doughnut...I could eat 2..or 100 of these in one sitting. I wish.

Who is in the mood for a doughnut now? You! Great! See you there!...But really if you come to Canada ...you+me= lunch date at Modern Jelly Doughnut. Deal!

The Sign Post Forest- the treasure of Watson Lake, Yukon (Canada). People from all over the world bring signs (stolen, probably) and hang them in the forest.

Wandering around the forest is so much fun. Reading all of the different signs and seeing where they've come from. Some are even homemade.

It's amazing how so many people from so many different places have all "met" in this one spot. The forest is quite large and one could spend quite a while getting lost in the signs.

Jasper

Possibly the most beautiful place I've ever seen would be- Jasper, Canada. Nestled among the Canadian Rockies, this little German town is smack-dab between two National Parks. You can't ask for better than that!

The city is filled with quaint little restaurants, a beautiful park in the middle (perfect for picnics or evening strolls), and anything your exploring heart could desire- within minutes of the city center. The city welcomes you with a giant totem pole and the architecture of each building is vintage and detailed- making Jasper feel right out of a storybook.
